This is ever awesome thing that i have been done. You will able modify The Grub List.
So, i will explain it with easy way.
First, you must find menu.lst. this thing will be modified by us. Location : /boot/grub
Second, Backup that thing, cp /boot/grub/menu.lst /boot/grub/menu.lst.backup
Let’s Modify it. gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst
- Default: It’s default Operation System when we boot it will be default. Sorry, i can’t explain it by definition.
Okay, For Example: The Original Value of Default is 0. if you want Ubuntu become your default Operation System. You just change the value bacome 1, or 2 for Windows. (in this situation, i have dualboot. There are Ubuntu and Windows).
- Timeout: allows you to change the countdown before grub automatically boots into the default listing. By default it should be set to 3 (seconds). If you need more time to choose the kernel or OS to boot into you can change this. It’s all to you want make it whatever.
- If you read it carefully, you will see this: You allow change the menu list as want here. But Carefull!!!!
